Our first overseas event of the year took place at the home of the 2018 Ryder Cup,
Le Golf National, France. This was a key event in the MASHIE calendar and with hot summer sun forecast we knew it would be a cracking couple of days for our members. Nick made the long journey by car to Le Golf National on Wednesday to ensure everything was set up and in place ready to welcome our members for the spectacular 2-day event that was upon us. Andy was joined by Richard from YGT who met up with our members at St Pancras, London at 5:30am on Thursday morning ready to catch the Eurostar over to France. A small group of our members didn't fancy joining Andy on the train and instead decided to catch a private jet over the pond, and don't worry we were all reminded of this throughout the trip!! TPHS vs TRAK EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS Over the 2-days we played in a Ryder Cup style format with 35 players split into 2 teams sponsored by TPHS and TRAK EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS. On day 1 it was a team better ball pairs competition and on day 2 it was a team singles competition. Day 1 saw TRAK EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS take a narrow 5-4 overnight lead going into Friday morning. Day 2 was upon us and with a few hangovers on both teams, there were still 18 points up for grabs in the singles competition. It was a battle of the two captains with Steve Jones and Carl McCulloch going head to head in the first group which saw Carl putting the first points of the day on the leaderboard with a 3&1 victory. Throughout the course of the day it was very evenly matched from both sides but with 4 wins from the last 4 matches saw Steve Jones and Team TPHS come from behind to take a 14-13 overall victory. |

no-one got a hole in one and took advantage of this amazing prize that was put up.
Sporting Index - Rob from Sporting Index sponsored the longest drive competitions over both days.

Skechers GOGOLF - Sponsored the 'Longest Walk' prize over both days. Finishing near the bottom doesn't often get rewarded but we feel you have most probably done the most walking so we have partnered up with Skechers to offer a free pair of golf shoes at every event this year.
